we all do it
i bring this up because mama dukes and i were talking about some dude she caught silent-laughing. that memory was renewed in my mom's mind after seeing me laugh just now on my computer. i'm talkin about when you read a message on chat or even just a simple joke on screen and you wanna laugh but can't due to the possible implications of causing a 'scene'. the more you try the more you shake uncontrollably and what i deem "silent laugh"; you kick your head back and flail your torso back and forth. you're diaphragm and stomach contract and relax in rhythmic waves in addition to your arms shaking almost arthritically. it's gold. mind you, this goes on all the while during a time when everyone's looking at you and wondering what the hell you're laughing at. i think it's a more entertaining and hysterical effect when you gesture a soundless laugh rather than actually laughing, but don't get me wrong, the sound of a genuine, from-the-belly or even wheezy-smoker's type laugh gets the best of me, too. i'm a sucker for 'em; good laughs can make a few droplets of urine or two come out of me just as much as the next guy. keep the silence nice and loud, kids.
