picket fences
had a nice little chat with a friend a couple nights ago who just came back from their own little tour and expedition. it seems that so many people are doing their shit and getting shit done. i mean i'm doing my thing and getting my thing done but i'm not even close to the marriage thing just yet and i'm kind of hesitant to even think that i'll be working under a household chain of gym names for the rest of my life. if anything, i'd open up my own private practice but that's a whole'nother story.

right now i'm at a fork in the road in what's the next logical thing to do. but that's just it i guess; that's the answer in itself. the next logical thing for me, at least in my mind and heart, is to go and explore. explore my options and explore the world. once the kids come and the mortgage has to be paid, the only place i'll be flying to is disney world.

if i can quote this quote correctly, as stated by my friend, i'm "not gonna settle for the white picket fence" just yet.
i can't knock others for doing what they're doing because they've chosen that for a reason. more power to you all and you have my love and support, unconditionally.

however, i can't get hung up on marriage because marriage isn't something for me right now. and the whole career thing...i gotta dip my feet into some different things; but before all of that, i gotta explore.

i agree whole-heartedly, no picket fences for jay, just yet.
do they even have picket fences outside of north america????
