holding on to summer...
to the left is a picture of this past weekend at the danforth (pictures to be posted soon...); we were amazed by coke in a glass bottle.

so summer is slowly stepping on the breaks, but that doesn't mean i'm just gonna let it drift by. oh hell naw.
here's what's on the tentative itinerary for the remainder of august and september:

  • drinks at cooper's irish pub tonight with some of the boys
a slight going away party for j.p. he's leaving for a two week vacation in the PI. funny thing is, i thought going-away parties are to be organized for anyone BUT the celebrant who's going away. oh well, just another reason to kick it.

  • rush hour friday
rush hour 3 is out and hopefully, we can make an event out of it. i'm calling out on the whole crew to come out and catch this wonderful series starring chan and tucker. hopefully, maybe a late night dinner and shisha after? we'll see.
    [rush hour movie]

  • buffalo road trip
i haven't been to buffalo (america's armpit) in roughly a decade. it'll be nice to hang out with friends rather than family - where we usually bunk out at some shitty motel overnight and eat really garbage food. this time, i'll be eating really garbage food and maybe bunking at a shitty motel just the same...'cept with friends!

  • star walk birthday buffet
a combination celebration for my 10 year old niece and 6 year old nephew. they were here yesterday i haven't seen them for two weeks. that's a stretch for me because dammit, i love those kids! thankfully, they returned my playstation 2 and even let me borrow their guitar hero 2. sweetness!
    [starwalk]

  • em's bday dinner
having dinner with an old close friend is always a good thing. on top of that, she just passed her CFA exam. i'm not really sure what that designation means, but it's supposed to be the joint in the business world. GOOOOOO CHIANG!

  • the canadian national exhibition
most likely during the last week of august - an annual pleasure of sorts where we just walk around the midway, people-watch, eat really bad-for-you-food and basically just chill out while soaking up some sun.
    [the ex]

  • nyc in september
for a weekend. bus it down. check the sites out and of course...shop.

that's what's on the itinerary for now. i hope it all goes down and i hope i can successfully scratch out each objective.
