raspy
part of my job entails me making phone calls to clients. sometimes they're there, sometimes they aren't. when they aren't i leave short and sweet detailed messages concerning whatever issue.

when given the option of hearing the message i left on a machine and/or hearing my own greeting on my voicemail box at work, i realize that i don't really fancy my voice. it's raspy, jagged and unfitting, i feel. is that me being insecure about my larynx capabilities or is it reality?

man, my voice is ass.
anyone else get that when they hear their voice other than when it resonates through your skull?

  • i hate how i sound! when i hear myself through a recording, i think i sound ditsy. bleh. and i'm talking to people over the phone all the time. yes, i'm usually guiding them through their computer or training them on the application, but i think i sound like an airhead :o(

it's funny though, cuz our head boss actually heard my voice through our cubicles and he really likes it. hahaha..at least, prefers it over anyone else's voice at work. he has me recording our phone system's answering service messages hahaha...i was really surprised (and of course flattered) when he told me that he liked it. he actually likes it because it's not high-pitched like other girls' voices hahaha.
