masterpiece mondays: impossible is nothing
t.v. ad firms have 30 seconds to tweak your life. during that half minute, they're gonna do whatever the hell they have to do to persuade you to cop the product being marketed.

recently, apple has been messing with me (mac is like crack!), but i have to admit, hands down, nike has had a pretty short leash on my life for the past couple decades. there was the jordan era, the "bo knows" era, the barkley era, and eventually, the boink era of the shox (man, im a geezer!).

lately, however, adidas has been bringing the noise themselves. through their new "impossible is nothing" campaign, various adidas-toting athletes are presented in a 30 second montage where they narrate their struggle in overcoming the capital A's (that street talk for "adversity", fam) faced when striving for success and living happily ever after. aside from not showing any adidas products whatsoever, the spots are pretty dope; they inspire, and by george, that's good enough reason for me to pay some adidas bills.

masterpiece mondays: "impossible is nothing" - because adidas is so much more than "all day i dream about sex".
enjoy, kids.

shit man, we're on the same tip.

i was seriously just gonna post about the Adidas commercials b/c they've got two of my fave players in them (Arenas and Beckham).
    great post.

first the green bins and now this. you are the daily planet and i'm the daily bugle.

...and I was gonna leave a comment that its about time masterpiece mondays actually fell on a monday again. reprise mondays are alright too.

aside. if it airs once more, chk out 'born in the ring' (2004) on the fight network.

  • i WISH i could work on a campaign as big as adidas, genius...one day...

BUT i gotta start somewhere...so go pick up your lokal Fil-Canadian pubs...you will definitely see some of my campaigns in there the next few months. they've given me the task of handling the Toronto market.
