mama bird has landed
so after a week and a bit, my mom is back from her little carribean jaunt on a cruise ship with her malaysian homegirl from her fitness class.

after picking her up from YYZ, we went to grab some grub; a local malaysian-singaporean-thai joint that is supreme supreme.
the ride there, back and even the dinner itself was nice and cozy. it's always nice to spend some time, i can't stress that enough.

moms already has plans to travel again next year. another cruise, but this time, her eyes are set on the mediterranean. i'm really pushing her to go because gatdammit, she deserves it. pops should go too, for that matter.
in a way, seeing and talking to my mom made me imagine how it was to see me coming back from thailand. my mom's exact words were, "it was way too short". my only reply to that is, time flies when you're having fun. i personally apologized for circumstances regarding her being 'back to reality'. trust, i know how it feels.

hopefully, this will be the beginning of travelling for my mom in her era of retirement. i'm mad jealous, but then again, i'm still young and the possibilities are just endless. it's not that just wanna travel, either. i'm ready to leave.

but enough of that rhetoric because mom is back and it's good to have her home.
this house wasn't a home; it was just a building with three grown-ass men eating, watching fights, basketball games and discussing home improvements. mom's presence is a little more meaningful than simply air freshener, flowers, home cooked philippine soul food and a curse-free environment; mom's presence is love.
