im a minimalist. that's no secret. shoot, colin kept on making fun of me over in thailand because im so basic [i know you mean well, C, and i love you to death (charlie's house till infinity)].

one of the things that i enjoy eating and haven't had in the longest time (let's say 9 weeks) is smoked bangus with some freshly steamed rice, sided with that pink, salted filipino egg (itlog na maalat b.k.a. itlog na pula) and freshly cut tomatoes.

that's my jawn, right there. simple but so good.
sorry, no picture. i ate it all before i could reach for my camera.

there's minimalism for you.

  • hehe I was never a fan of itlog the salty version (I dont know how to properly say it in tagalog -- shame on me). I like century egg though if you know what that means (its like blackish egg you eat w/ congee). Okay that might sound disgusting.. but so tasty.. mmm taste of eggs... I'm making me a sandwich for breakfast tomorrow.

  • of course i know that.
throw in some salted pork in that congee and a chinees donut and all is well.

    pass the vinegar too, please.

also a good choice. but hey...im from the islands - i gotta back my pink egg moreso on this one.
