tomorrow is 9-11's 5th year anniversary.

all over sunday night television here in canada, there are specials - documentaries and made for t.v. shows, dedicated towards looking back at the tragic day.
some of the shows ask why? some shows look forward to the future.
i can't watch any of them.

they not only send chills up my spine in addition to chocking me up but it makes me depressed with a capital D.

im planning on putting together a scrapbook of all the things that i've witnessed and experienced through life. it'll have my baptism and birthdays - this is true; but at the same time that scrapbook will have all the tragedy and bullshit we've experienced just the same. it's the bad times that define who we truly are. my newspaper clippings are ready.

i'll sit down with my wife and my kids and we'll go through all the pages, never rushing through any.
welcome to a brave new world.
