crickey! i just got the news that steve irwin was stung by a stingray in his heart.
that was his tragic demise.

i remember when i had the discovery channel - i call those my glory days of television and youth. the first time i saw steve i thought to myself, "holy crap, this guy's a nut". he grabbed a cobra by its tail and was at the same time keeping his distance from the reptile while explaining the speciman's characteristics; khaki safari gear and all.

a lot of people pass away every day and i never talk about them. it doesn't mean i don't care it simply means i don't talk about them. steve irwin on the other hand really captivated me. he dedicated his life towards doing what he loved and at the same time, educated us about creatures and far off places we've never been to.
the crocodile hunter was a true adventurist, activist and teacher.

kudos to you steve irwin and may God bless your family.
