i can't drink milk. this is no secret. i used to drink milk but my body has changed as i've aged.
sometimes when i wanna eat cereal with the rest of my family, i can't because all we have is "normal" milk - squeezed fresh from a cow's udder. i ask my mom to buy soy for me because otherwise, i'm missing out. if i do drink milk then you'll feel my wrath six hours later - i start feeling like i'm going to explode into little bloody bits. sometimes, well most of the time, mom comes through and cops me a carton or two of soy. but this time, i didn't get one drop of that ration and i've noticed a certain trend in my house.

when it comes to soy and 2% white going head to head in the fridge, the bean wins and my family guzzles that stuff down like it's water. is it the vanilla flavour? maybe the estrogen in soy? maybe the fortified goodness? all i know is, i rarely get a drop of any soy that ever makes its way into our crib. i really should go back to supplementing calcium like (ab)normal people do.
