that can also be interchanged with the song "he ain't heavy, he's my brother".

my boy aaron is gone.

in a pack of guy friends, there's always that dude who takes the brunt of our jokes. whether he asked for it or not, aaron was that dude and he took it gracefully. although, me and aaron have had our differences in opinion on several occassions and have clashed once in a while, i'm not ashamed to say i love that dude. fighting comes with the territory in friendships. i wouldn't want it any other way. but aaron and i are both men now - no time for silly childish grudges; it really takes too much of my energy, personally.

besides, aaron's my boy and a vital element of our crew, our posse. if we were voltron, he'd be...hmm...he'd be an arm. sure we can function without him, but it's nice to have you're arm; it just helps.

last night, some of the boys and i dropped aaron off to the airport. i never really thought he'd go through with leaving for the philippines. i guess it's a personal choice of his to go find himself and "do something" at this point. it's hard for all of us right now i guess. so many things - crucial things - are happening all around us with everyone. people getting hitched, finding jobs, getting their fancy degrees etc. it's hard when the world around you seems like it's revolving but you're stagnant. i often feel that way myself. even a part of the driving force of this upcoming trip is to just get away from all the silliness of this reality that i'm at times not ready to deal with. hopefully, this business venture back home lifts aaron up and helps him find his way. he really didn't have to leave though, i hope you all let him know that at some point.

we all have your back aaron and i don't have to worry about you.
besides, you'll be back. i'm almost certain.

"Some people may not understand
What it means to be a man
Taking full command

Livin in a world that's oh so strange
Boy don't let your focus change
Takin out the demons in your range, hey
Livin in a world that's oh so fast
Gotta make your money last
Learn from the past, oh

Time's a wastin
Don't you take your time young man
Keep on driftin and
Ain't no tellin where you'll land"
