how come it's always the case that when i don't have cash, i wanna buy everything the world has to offer? when i do have the cash however, i'm so reluctant to spend it.

is this how a man who works hard for his dollar thinks?
i'd like to believe so.

am i alone?

we just finished laying down the laminated flooring in my room. that makes the walls painted and the floors completed. perfect.
i just scraped the bed and will disassemble my computer desk. it just doesn't fit the "look" i have in mind.
next comes the hard part...refurnishing - and with refurnishing comes ambition (sometimes, overly).

yes my room is in transition - but not only in the building sense. my room is transitioning from a boy's room to a man's room.
ha! a man who lives in his parents' home? that's george costanza talk. although i have a 'grown up' look for this room in mind, it'll have elements of boyish mischief in it. after all, i am the interior decorator here.

i should've taken "before" shots. seriously.

  • you're on point with that money situation. it's hard to part with hard-earned cash when you got it burning a hole in your pocket.

so what up with this ty pennington steez? at least you have a plan...in college, my boy and i would walk around target for an hour planning our bachelor pads. i walked away with an idea of dark gray walls with a red stripe across the entire room. and black leather with cherry wood furnishings...what was i smokin'?
