over the last week, we've had intense weather here in southern ontario. monday started with a heatwave and since then, the temperatures have been in the high 20s to mid 30s (celsius). that's hot and if you're wondering, yes, it has been a two shower a day week. but that's not so bad. i don't mind the days being hot and humid and mucky with a little sticky here and there. that's ok because once the night falls, the temperature does too. i get this sense of satisfaction like i had to earn the coolness that breezes through my bedroom window.

looking out my window right now, we just finished having rain all day long. now that it's sundown and just a little past 8pm the sun is blazing yet it's still cloudy. God is good. sorry to sound cliche or corny but sometimes i'm really moved by nature. maybe it's my canadian background talking but spirituality and balance are two elements often missing from everyone's daily hustle 'n' bustle.


whether you're on a rooftop or balcony in the city or in the burbs on your patio like i am, take the time to enjoy nature once in awhile. you won't be sorry.

camping next week...who can wait? 2 nights and three days of our annual tradition.
treat it like it's the last one, kids.
