the hats...the shades...the suits. the blues brothers.

the other day while off from work, they were showing "the blues brothers" on t.v. i was surprised as they usually air really crap low budget movies. i can't say why exactly; i mean stay-at-home dads deserve to watch some good free movies on t.v. once in awhile don't they?

the blues brothers is set in chi-town (chicago) and stars dan akroyd and john belushi as elwood and jake blues, respectively. jake has just been released from jail and the two get back to their old ways once again. eventually, the two 'blues' brothers try to change their ways as they're on a 'mission from God' to save the orphanage that brought them up. i do a pretty wack synopsis, but you'll have to watch the movie for yourself. there are many musical performances and cameos from the likes of aretha franklin, james brown, ray charles and cab calloway.
