"I move in, and y'all must move on
'Cause I move too strong
And I know what my feet move for
Made it go without a brand new car
Made it fresh without a brand new song
And give a fuck about what brand you are
I'm concerned what type of man you are
What your principles and standards are"
- mos def

i was on the msn homepage checking mail and peeping the headlines when i caught a picture of justin timberlake jacking clout.

now justin timberlake is o.k., but he ain't no mos def.

in terms of creating music that's an artform; meaningful and a revolutionary tool for the oppressed not to mention music from the soul, justin can't cut the mustard like my man mos does.

peep the pictures to compare and contrast.

mos def on his album cover represents a black artist used as a tool by major record companies to make the mighty green. he's grimey, raw and has a triggered finger pointed to his head symbolizing how a lot of today's rap artists kill themselves, their character and their credibility for their labels (heavy, huh?).

justin timberlake on the other hand...i dunno what he's trying to accomplish here. his blue eyes and ivory-clean skin mean nothing to me.

how do i know all of this?...i don't; it's simply my perspective and insight. or not so simply.
