to be cool without being too cool is an artform that i find myself grappling with each and everyday of my life (geez - heavy on the melted braggadocio). i wish i could share the formula with you but it's just not that easy. take the issue of racism for example. nobody knows racism like i know racism. and nobody can keep his or her cool at the same time as being cool like i can. then again, everyone's experience with racism is purely subjective, so how can i even start comparing your circumstances surrounding racism with my circumstances surrounding racism.

was that too complex for you?

sarah silverman is sort of like me. she's pretty fresh without being too fresh and hip without checking off the "hip" column on future government forms and applications. i'd like to think sarah silverman is like me, except i don't have a vagina...and i'm not jewish...and my name's not sarah...and i'm not famous. enough jibber-jabbah. enjoy sarah silverman - star of upcoming movie 'jesus is magic'.

to the chappelles and silvermans of the world who laugh in the face of hatred and prejudice (but not really), i tip my hat off to you.
so smart (but not too smart...which makes her pretty smart; almost "cool-smart").
