last sunday was the first mother's day i've spent without mom. she's on the other side of the world right now and it was kind of hard to actually wish her happy mother's day during what seemed to be a continuous game of phone tag.

sunday, during the drive to work, i became all sentimental and teary eyed when i heard tupac's "dear mama" over the soundwaves. i make myself believe that it's the allergies because after all, it is pollen season.

b.i.g. might've been a better lyricist in my book, but in terms of being meaningful and virtuous, pac is a poet -- no ifs, ands or buts about it.
