i've been using tylenol since i started wearing velcro on my shoes and i'll continue to use tylenol 'till kingdom come. don't get me wrong though, i dont pop them like sweet tarts or anything like that. i use my tylenols sparingly. in this house, the magic pill is like the emergency red button on a mothership -- ONLY USE IN EXTREME EMERGENCIES.

the last two days in this house have been brutal. everyone had some kind of sickness at the same time. that has never happened. we ran out of tylenols and my brother bought a pack of tylenol flu. i didn't want tylenol flu. tylenol flu, at least this one, has an active ingredient similar to ephedrine. if i had taken that, i would've probably been on the ceiling...and i couldn't have that; all in the name of curing my headache. thankfully, my mom replaced the empty bottle of tylenol. regular tylenols..whether they be extra strength or e-z to swallow, i like mine regular.

no tylenol 3 or tylenol flu...neither tylenol sinus or tylenol allergy.

reg.

red and white.
plain and simple.

  • dear dr. jay,

i've used tylenol extra strength ever since i learned how to swallow the darn things [which wasn't til like 6th grade haha] and i've recently started using the "rapid release gels" [still extra strength]...do you think they really release quicker than the regular ones?

    sincerely,

a devoted fan of your blog [and friendship]

  • ah. the march sickness is back.
    every bloody year i'm sick.
i fucking hate march. (sorry jay, its true)

    anyhow, for abs.

Tylenol’s new Rapid Release Gels are specifically designed to
release medicine faster to help alleviate headache pain, and it won’t irritate your
stomach like aspirin, naproxen sodium or ibuprofen can. (can you say bleeding ulcer city?)
Its due to these small holes that are in the gels.
Must have been done with laser tech.

because its liquid it will, in essence work faster than regular compressed powder tabs, but of course not as fast as anything via needle or IV.
