yesterday at school was amazing. it was my second last day of classes in what possibly could be forever - or at least until i apply and/or get into some master's or education programs.

it was like deja vu really. they say we don't really experience deja vu but rather, we tend to repeat little actions or motions in our daily routine that we usually overlook. occassionally, however, these little motions or events appear to us like they're brand new; like they did at some previous past time but under different circumstances or during different times - this is the so called de ja vu experience.

whether all that is true or not, yesterday to me, brought me back to my first week coming into york university back in the fall of 2001. the summer was still lingering but you could feel the cool breezes of fall making its presence known. everyone was outside, enjoying the sun; students were on the front lawn of the school playing soccer, tossing around footballs or simply taking shelter underneath the campus' lush greenery. the salty, smokey smell of hot dogs from the nearby vendors was all you could smell just as the sound of laughter among friends was the only thing you could hear. it really brought me back, man.

before i boarded the westbound bus back home, i took in one of the last breaths of campus air that i might be taking in for awhile. it's just something i have to come to terms with i guess, but that's cool; moving on is part of life and believe me, there's been a whole lot of growth in 5 years.

last two classroom sessions - come tuesday.

haha...I can NEVER get sick of starting off like that. I don't know why.

You're the man! York, it's great...you were the first guy to tell me to be proud of York when I first got there. Now, I can only think back and remember that you were totally right.

Good luck in the exams man,

    R.J.
