everyone knows how much i love the cosby show. i mean it's my favourite show of all time. i waited for season 1 to come on dvd for centuries and just a few days ago, season 2 came out.

what really made the show good was the comedy. i mean sure, it showed us a different picture of what an american family looks like - black, two-parent professional income household etc., but that's besides the point. cliff huxtable is the truth. the show taught us lessons in life in addition to putting a hilariously clever twist on all things meaningful. in a world where everything on t.v. is terrible news or more realistic than my own reality, the cosby show was one of the greatest shows during the sitcom era; when t.v. used to be an artform.

today is payday and it's a dangerous time...the cosby show: season 2 is number 1 on my list.
