ah, my parents are back home. what a splendid way to wake up. although i can cook; like to cook and would've preferred to cook over these past days (at least a little more than 3 meals-worth) we've been eating take out and junk a lot. surprisingly, i haven't developed a gut. i think i've had the reverese - a somewhat malnourishment effect. nothing on the level of kwarshiorkor or marasmus, but pretty bad eats. there was pizza last night, mc donald's for lunch, a sausage and egg breakfast by me, chicken in black bean sauce by me, longanisas on rice by me, double boned porkchops and a rice pilaf, panzaratti and more pizza, korean bbq, dinner at my oldest brother's house (the only meal where me and my bro, each, sat at a dinner table this whole week) and wendy's at one point.

it's not that we aren't self-sufficent or lazy for that matter. it's just that the lives of a student and his engineering brother can be a little hectic sometimes. so hectic, that fast food and eating high fat/protein/cholesterol meals are sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel.

...plus the chores...plus caring for my dog...plus the homework...plus the olympics...plus the video games. a guy easily loses track of when to eat.

  • I love longanisas! It's like Filipino comfort food or something.
