i often wonder how i come about "finding" trouble. my mom always says "don't go out looking for trouble now" or "keep your nose clean". i can't really do anything about the snotty nose, but in terms of trouble -- trouble finds me, i don't find it. sometimes however, maybe i, myself, am trouble.

last night's common concert was real good. the crowd was good (more or less) and the performances were well beyond my expectations. too bad he took so long to come out and perform though. damn, common. however, i'm not about to use this blog as a forum for concert criticisms JUST YET; at least not in this post.

so back to the trouble...

the place was packed. guys with girls, girls with guys, guys with their boys, girls with their girls. there were even old white dudes in cardigans vibing to the show. kind of weird. anyhow, it was ram-jammed packed to the ceiling. there was a lot of pushing and really, no "personal space" being respected. so my friends and i are watching the concert and some fool and his girl pretend to be moving along the crowd in front of us. fair enough. WRONG. they stopped; they should've got an award for that acting. man, i felt sorry for the people in front of me who had these two fools just nest there. that was kind of rude..but at least it wasn't in front of me, right? WRONG, AGAIN. minutes later, another fool and his girl come cutting between the crowd - this time, between my posse. they apologize; the usual "sorry, i just wanna get through here".

get through, fine. BUT STOP IN FRONT OF ME? NOT FINE. it was tight as is and the girl behind me even got pissed at the fact that this couple did this to me and my friends (just as i did towards the earlier couple who did it to the people in front of us). anyhow, the girl behind me asks in anger towards the couple, "theyre not just gonna stay there are they?"

"i guess so. oh well, if he wants my dick against his ass, then that's fine", i explained, keeping my surrounding area tight and unforgiving towards the two.

when dude heard that, they moved away and i laughed.

*that's trouble making numero uno.

here's the second part....a prequel, if you may.

so common comes out late. around 11pm. the doors opened at 8! and for a good 20 minutes, between the opening act and com, there was nothing, absolutely nothing, happening on stage. dry! real wack. the crowd gets angered, starts their hissing and booing and chanting common to come out (already).

COM-MON! COM-MON! COM-MON!
almost reminiscent of how we used to cheer whenever we watched wrestling live.

this happens for a good 30 seconds until i jump in with my own way of dealing with this frustration. i yell...

"young jeezy!!!"
[background info on who young jeezy is and his (ir)relevance at a common concert]

i swear, everyone in front of me (i was about 6 rows from the stage) looks back at me as i still have my fist in the air and a big ass grin on my face. there was hysteria and laughter all around.

it was gold, man. gold. platinum gold with encrusted diamonds, even. you should've been there.
