[day 3. nov 11/06]
last night was a hard-slept one. colin and i had to take a late night walk up and down samsen rd. at 3am in order to suck in the "freshly" polluted bangkok air and to ease our minds. believe me, it was sleep well-earned after some 20+ hrs in the air.

it's already 6:30am as i write this and i think i'm gonna let colin sleep at least 30mins beyond our scheduled 7am wake-up time. we have to check out of here (our first stop), the new world lodge, by 12pm. the plan today is to book another hostel for a day or two before heading off to chiang mai.

the new world lodge, for its 6hr stay, has been great. from the late night street festival that welcomed us as our taxi driver weaved through a narrow alley to the low-pressure cold shower, it's been a pleasure! dare i even wonder how our first guesthouse will be?! anyhow, i'll post tonight about our first day in thailand...it's time to pack up and live the backpacking hobo lifestyle.




sounds like the festival continues this morning...bright and early.
