buying our packs is just another step towards manifesting destiny.
i just got back from le baron with colin. we copped our packs; the same backpacks that we've been intending on getting for weeks.

a backpack represents the basics. there are no fancy wheels so you drag your clothing around just as there are no upright handles and glossy finishes on the exterior. a backpack is fully utilitarian - just as this trip will be; some basic needs, little to no luxury and a whole lotta adventure.

the packs purchased are the north 49: verde 60. a steal at $51.72 and perfect for our needs.
now...must get shots and tickets.
